Metis Shamans Phil L'Hirondelle and John Wisdomkeeper join Vancouver police liaison officer Dez Pallaton to conduct a cultural ceremony at the Vancouver Remand Centre. While there they encounter a group of four men two Metis, one Cree and one white guy, obviously their leader, and both Shamans notice the bad energy coming from that group and express concern about their future acts. Their concern turns into real fear when the four men escape Remand and having learned the location of Pallaton's home, they break in and attack and seriously injure his female partner Vancouver Friendship Centre family response worker Martine LaChance. After one of the escapees is killed by their leader, and the remaining three take off across British Columbia in a desperate attempt to elude capture and find more victims to help them along the way, the two Shaman join forces in an attempt to use their knowledge of the Indigenous community and the route likely taken by these escapees - one of them now a killer to try and prevent more violent acts. Afraid of their leader and the consequences of what he has done, the two Metis convicts escape and are soon picked up by L'Hirondelle and Wisdomkeeper. An agreement is reached and the two men provide valuable information which the Shamans share with the RCMP and the escapes are, by agreement, sent to Prince George to serve out their sentences. The Shamans then provide information to the RCMP which saves an other innocent couple from serious harm and allows the RCMP to take down their man.
