Jauro, a prominent cattle herder of the Ferooji Fulani clan, is forced to isolate his new-born son as a result of a prophecy procured by his first wife, Madujo, in a bid for supremacy over her rival, Demmo, who is not of their clan. This intrigue condemns the boy, Lameedo, with his mother and siblings, to a life of privation and want, despite JauroÕs immense cattle wealth.
