Three women, all suffering from losing a loved one, get an invitation to a retreat in Galveston, Texas. Shelby Forrester lost her husband in a horrific motorcycle accident. After almost a year, she's still in a fog of grief. At the prompting of her parents, she accepts the invitation to go to the retreat. During her time away, Shelby gets a call from her friend, asking her to take over running a gymnastics gym. Stepping in, even if it's for a friend, churns up old feelings inside of Shelby.
