An anthology of love poetry from the heart of a same-gender loving man. About the Author: Jaumonta Roberts, known in the poetry circuit as The Crimson Spirit or T.C.S. for short, was born in Los Angeles, California. The eldest of his parents children, but raised congruently by his mother and grandmother who loved him exceedingly. He graduated from Alain LeRoy Locke High School in South Central L.A., where he began writing poetry in the tenth grade. Without any recognized poetic influences, he draws his inspiration from life, love and learned lessons from his high school teacher Ms. DeShay, his first mentor and motivating spirit. His first book "The Colors of Love: Poetry of The Crimson Spirit", is an anthology of poems from his perspective as a young man dealing with sexual identity during an era when the voices of the LGBTQ community was crying out for equality and respect worldwide.Inspired by years of employment within a domestic violence intervention agency, Jaumonta believes that "Despite how far we fall... there is always a way back up!" This book is inspirited by our "rainbow" youth who have been rejected by family and abandoned by systems put in place to maintain the "status quo" which often is determined by those far removed from the practices and policies that they enforce. His desire is to unify a divided world through his poetry and at the same time lend a voice to those who feel they have none. Lastly, Jaumonta hopes that his poetry may inspire other gifted and hidden voices of the "rainbow" to allow their true colors to shine in the light and love of a world that may still not be quite ready for true change. When not writing or performing his spoken word, Jaumonta is an avid gamer, network engineer, and domestic violence intervention advocate. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
