My name is Apolonio Garcia and I am from Yoakum, Texas, which is a town of about 6,500 people. Yoakum is known for its annual TomTom Festival and is also known as the "Leather Capital of the World" because of the leather factories that once provided revenue for the town. I have two sisters, one brother, two half-sisters, and one half-brother, all from Yoakum. I am married to my wife, Bobbie Garcia. I have four children, Christopher Garcia, Ashely Garcia, Isaac Cardenas and Ava Garcia. There was a day, while talking to a friend of mine and speaking about the things I have experienced, and things I have often participated in, the places I have been and the things I have witnessed, that he encouraged me to consider writing a book about my life. I cannot tell you how foolish that sounded to me at the time!Writing a book was the last thing I would have ever considered doing; however, today I have written a book about my life, with the anticipation of being a blessing to whoever reads it. The Bible teaches in the book of Matthew that ?With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26) So today I introduce my book titled My Wilderness Experience. My prayer is that every person, free or incarcerated, understands that we are all born with a God-given purpose. Some find it faster than others, some go straight to it, and some go the long way around, but the promise and purpose still remain. I pray this book encourages you to seek the purpose God has ordained for you. Habakkuk 2:3 tells us, "For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it will speak and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry.'' Today is your appointed time. God bless you, and may the Holy Spirit embrace you as you read this book.
