Having lived and worked as an English teacher in Guangzhou, China, for more than 15 years (since August 2003) has given Tove Vine the opportunity and pleasure to meet a wide range of people; local people from Guangzhou, people from other parts of China and some from other countries, young and older people from so many different walks of life. Some of those people, that she consider, extraordinary, have gone on to enrich, what she believes, her extraordinary life in China. This book is a compilation of the life stories of those people. Tove hopes that the readers will enjoy reading these stories as much as she has enjoyed meeting the people and having them become a part of her extraordinary life in China.
