There is an unassuming item in the Old Mill Museum that holds incredible power. The artifact was coveted and fought over for thousands of years, then lost. There is an unassuming high school student who works at the museum named Robert Bright. He was held back a year in school, has no plans for his future, and can't seem to get a date. One afternoon in June, during a thunderstorm, the ancient artifact "wakes up" and Robert Bright's boring summer vacation gets a lot more interesting. He finds himself caught in a struggle between time travelers, creatures from other worlds, and an ancient race who control everything from the shadows.
