Life can be unpredictable and painful, but it also can be funny and enlightening. This collection of short stories highlights our humanity. The question is, when standing on the edge-what is our true nature? Nine stories from historical to futuristic beg the question of how humans interact with each other. Sometimes we are cordial and caring, and at other times we are brutal and apathetic. With these tales haven been written over a period of 25 years, the author has reflected on how society has both changed and how it has grudgingly remained the same. The ultimate answer then will be the future of our very existence. But that is not for the writer to decide-it is up to each one of us. And while life itself can sometimes seem like fiction, for others it is a reality.
