Lance Lambert has spent his entire life finding ways to have as much fun as possible while doing as little work as possible. His endeavors have included a short and failed attempt at being a rock and roll star, a few years as a professional photographer, too many years (reluctantly) at real jobs, and 23 years as the co-producer and on-camera host of television's award winning "Vintage Vehicle Show". His writing career includes 15 years as a columnist for the Journal Newspapers, continuing as a columnist for Garage Style Magazine since 2008, and currently on regular assignment for The Seattle Times. Prior to doing all of these grownup things Lance was a happy kid roaming the streets of Tacoma, WA in search of fun, adventure and mischievous escapades. His previous books, "Gears, Grins & Gasoline: Confessions of a Car Guy" and "Gears, Grins & Gasoline: My Wheel Life Adventures" have left many readers wondering how he lived long enough to to write them. His latest book, "A Kid's Kingdom: Growing Up in the City of Destiny" tells the tale of how he honed his survival skills and grew from a little squirt into a guy that thought he was ready to take on the world.
