What inspired this book: The author, Joanna Nabholz, and her mother Elizabeth decided to collaborate on a kids book with a powerful message. Having witnessed bullying throughout their early years in a Suburban neighborhood in Maryland, Joanna and Elizabeth maintained a deep need to spread the word about the act of imparting simple kindness to as many families as possible. When looking for similar themed books to teach her children the value of kindness, Joanna found that there was not anything that delivered this message in quite the same way as she envisioned. Hence, this book was created with the specific purpose of having families come together and celebrate the joy of being kind to others and experiencing fulfillment and happiness in return.
