This book by SenatorMark4 (Mark Robbins) is both a memoir and a call to action for the Republican Party. Mark, a delegate to 2014 Republican Party Texas State Convention and a not-to-well-known candidate for the Senate in 2016, presents a platform for the Republican Party in a novel way by weaving in thirty very interesting and entertaining stories from his own, extremely varied life experiences; everything from a cowhand, to a hospital corpsman in a neurosurgical ICU, to a screen writer, with much more in between. Mark's years of being active in politics in every way possible has not left him with the secure feeling that all is well. In fact, he is very concerned for the future of the country and this is the main reason for his writing We Republicans. He is very clear on his objective, "The focus of the proposed platform will be an attempt to define individual processes which enhance freedom, provide for transparent government, and, hopefully, serve people's insatiable desire for individual liberty." His most controversial and interesting proposal is the addition of IRS Form 1099-GOV, but the details of government process and policy can be overlooked by shifting to the appendix for direct links to the entertaining stories from his life. This is a fun book that educates and entertains; well worth reading.
