Peter Blackstone, a Denver Private Investigator, received a phone call from Josh Garrett, a man he knew in college. Josh asked Peter if he would meet him at a caf in downtown Denver. He didn't say why he wanted to meet Peter; but Peter thought there was something wrong. When Peter arrived at the caf , there were police at the caf , and a gurney was being wheeled out of the caf with someone on it. He was told that Josh had been shot and taken to a local hospital.
