I prefer smaller toys for the younger children. For older children they like toys in their favorite color and like a larger one. The different textures of yarn today makes it easier to make the toy look real especially the fuzzy ones for rabbits or dog and cats. Sparkling yarn for clothes. Fine yarn for small detail. Making toys you create may get a name or speaks to you what colors to use, what size it should be or who should have it. Remember when you buy yarn the same company brand works well. Soft yarn for hair and clothes and firmer yarn for body, hats and shoes. Most of all enjoy this hobby and learn some new techniques to make it your own.
