Quentin Schroeter was raised in Northwestern Montana. Quentin holds a Bachelors of Arts in Humanities and a Masters degree in Religious Studies. As a person with a Bipolar Disorder, Quentin has facilitated support groups for years. Quentin has been deeply involved with political advocacy on behalf of people who live with mental illness and their families. On March 31, 2010, Michael Fitzpatrick of NAMI National announced that Quentin had been chosen to receive the 2010 Lionel Aldridge Award. This prestigious award is given annually to someone with mental illness for their courage, leadership, and service on behalf of all people who live with mental illness. ***** *****With the Title of this little Tome, I do NOT wish to promulgate the idea that the onslaught of a BiPolar Disorder/Psychosis is NOT Dire, Devastating, and Disastrous. Rather, what I intend to suggest is that such a traumatic Event does NOT have to negatively or adversely determine one's entire Life. Thus, moving toward Acceptance of one's Plight, and then bravely beginning to "strive to overcome," as it were, can lead from integration of the Experience within one's Personhood to the Sublimity of Transcendence. It is how this "Path" took shape in my Lifetime that I have endeavored to portray herein.
