This is the place where I'm supposed to convince you to buy my book. I should describe the plot in a clever way to mask its flaws and generate mystery and excitement. Instead, I'll be direct. My story explores mental illness, love, and hatred. There is no filler. It is an authentic treatment of social disorders in modern society; and I deal with my subject matter without compromise, as candidly as I deal with this odious sales pitch. My protagonist, at times, rails and rambles like a Dostoevsky throwback. He's not very likeable. He says ugly things, thinks ugly things. That, however, does not diminish him as a character. Such people are drawn to the fractures of a society; they see it from a different perspective than the comfortably distracted majority. In watching how he shattered, we might discover our own hidden weaknesses. And there is always wisdom to be found, even among those we'd rather discard.
