The challenges characters of this series face are usually written as doom and gloom, but I had no desire to leave anyone with that feeling. My goal was to mingle fear, desperation, humor, and hope into a thought-provoking story. Prepping is a huge part of the series. I tried to give a few ideas without being "prepper preachy." Sierra never met the caller. She only knew the man who referred to himself as a Patriot from his phone call and letter and considered him a lunatic. Then a string of events occurred that she couldn't explain away. When the Patriot's warnings began to unfold, Sierra realized millions would soon suffer. As host ofThe Sierra Nicole Show, she could have warned them. Now, it was too late. She never thought it could happen. Not here. Her fellow freedom-loving, independent, and strong-willed citizens would never allow it! However, the home searches, confiscations, and friends and family turning on one another told a different story. Sierra is determined to expose the corruption and stop the government takeover.
