I will never forget the first time that I met Stan Toler. We were both attending college at Ohio Christian University (Circleville Bible College at that time). We were both ministry majors with a sense of God's call on our lives to serve as pastors. He came into a class dressed in a black suit carrying a brown briefcase. He was younger than I was, and I could not but help think, "Who is this guy?" Little did I know, on that day, that he would become one of the dearest friends and one of the closet colleagues in my life.From those early days in college, we served together with our entire lives. Stan was always the same whether he was serving in a mission district with a small church, or serving in a large church, or serving as a General Superintendent with the Church of the Nazarene. His love for God and his passion for the church remained the driving force in his life. He touched the world with the love and message of Jesus Christ during his lifetime. He preached in every state of the union in the United States and over 90 countries around the world.In addition to his preaching and teaching ministry, he was able to write over 100 books! His brother Terry remarked that, "Stan never had an unpublished thought."
