The Book of Ruth: Portrays Jesus Christ as Our Kinsman Redeemer

In Israel it was allowed that a male relative who was very close or most closely connected in blood relation had the privilege or responsibility to act for a relative who was in danger, trouble or in need of vindication.God was Israel's redeemer to vindicate or defend His very own people as we see in numerous instances God declaring that Israel belonged to Him.Jesus became our kinsman redeemer for we were dead in our trespasses as Satan held us captive in bondage and our fate seemed already sealed until Jesus showed up on the scene to push Satan back and bought us back unto Himself by His own shed blood on the cross. So Jesus demonstrated His love for us by stepping forward when nobody was there to redeem us from the bondage and broken relationship with our God and paid it all at Calvary when He uttered these words "Its finished" and now we stand to enjoy a new relationship because our position and name has changed for we now belong to God and are part of God's family
