I embarked on a journey to save and help LGBTQ youth but little did I know this journey was going to set my life on a path to something amazing. However, most importantly I always stayed true to myself. ---TJM Terrell J. Mitchell(Tj) has served as a member of GLSEN's National Student Council and served on GLSEN's Day of Silence Street Team for three years. Served as a Gay-Straight Alliance president for 3 years and a founder of a GSA at Samuel Clemens High School in Schertz, Texas, where he is a 2015 graduate. He is a LGBT African- American born in Charleston, South Carolina but who has had the privilege and honor to grow up as an Air Force military child.
