Pale Hunter's Moon (The Stafford County Series)

The sequel to Shadow in the Wind. Richard Weston! Who is he? The beloved missing son-in-law of the powerful Emerson Clan or cold-blooded murderer on the run? Whoever he is, he isn't the real Richard Weston - who lived and died before the imposter that Jane tags "their Richard" was born. How had he come to take a dead man's identity and why? When Jane Adler finds herself the last one working the cold case, she is thrown into Lee Malcolm's realm, Chief of Security for Emerson International and the man her dreams are made of as well as Asa Marcus, powerful director of a Special Ops team that strikes fear in the hearts of all they pursue. Two very different men with very different motives who both are changing the course of her life. In her quest for answers surrounding Weston's disappearance, Jane is drawn into family loyalties and deceit as well as unintended consequences that begin in the mountain hamlet of Oak Meadow and span three continentals before the hunt is over. Far from home, Jane discovers herself not only caught in a web of international intrigue and the eternal battle between good and evil but also the disturbing fact that her investigation has put her in Asa Marcus' crosshairs. In Pale Hunter's Moon, Jane finds that justice can wear many faces and there are warriors among us not everyone can see.
