I'm Mike Mc Donald, a private detective and own an agency in Milton Keynes with my pain-in-the-neck partner Howard. It was a quiet time workwise, so I'd arranged to meet my beautiful girl friend, Rosa, in the pub. I whizzed on over and found instead the horrible Harold Spate sitting there. Harold, an unwelcome memory from my past career, was a financier. What followed were the unwelcome consequences of his drifting into my life again. Harold's mate, Tony Moreland, wanted help in screwing his estranged wife financially. But, as he was murdered immediately after we met, I didn't strangle Howard for taking on the case. Take on any case for money, would Howard. Moreland's wife was arrested for murder by Inspector Eddie Foreman of the local police. Eddie, wrong as usual! Catastrophic disaster followed. Although I did stop another client bent on murder, I didn't come out of any of this scatheless myself. There you go!
