Life was not easy in south Ar. when I was growing up. We were healthy, happy, and loved, That was enough.We ate what we grew and never complained. I was born in 1944 to a Coal miner and his young wife. We were carefree and made our own fun as kids. I had one brother and two cousins who were like brother and sister. We were proud but not haughty. Were not envious of anyone. We were free to roam and explore in the radius of our homes wher we were always safe. No locked doors, no modern conveniences of any kind. None of my generation had these things. I'd love for young and middle aged alike to read my memories and get a glance of the way things were. Some of it will astonish you.
