She told me that I had to wait until she died. When she was dying she gave me a box with her last five notebooks in it and told me that it wasn't going to be good news. PRISONER IN MY MIND is a story about my mother suffering from cancer, being in a terrible marriage for fifty five years, having drug withdrawals, and trying to cure my father from whatever ailed him mentally. She believed that she was in his head for real and could see everything that he thought. I think of this story as my mothers last lesson in life. It is filled with tragedy, my mother's sense of humor, her strong will to live, fighting with my father, life lessons and many tears with a sad ending.
