This vintage book is the full sheet music for John Alden Carpenter's "Concertino - Allegro con moto-Lento-Allegro". John Alden Carpenter (1876-1951) was an American composer famous for his "mildly modernistic and impressionistic" style. His most well-known works include "Adventures in a Perambulator" and "The Song of Faith", which he completed in 1914 and 1932 respectively. Carpenter was bestowed with many honours for his contributions to music, including being made a Knight of the French Legion of Honor in 1921, receiving an honorary doctorate from the University of Wisconsin in 1933, and being awarded the Gold Medal of the National Institute of Arts and Letters in 1947. Many vintage books such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive. We are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern edition complete with a specially commissioned new introduction on the history of the piano.
