Theo Bax, a young artist, becomes involved in a series of strange puzzles. Why was the girl in the blue coat killed? Who was the sleeping woman in the empty house--the woman who suddenly vanished? How could his car have been taken from a locked car park without his knowledge, and why was it then returned? And is his connection with these events a mere conincidence, or is there more to it than meets the eye? Soon, Theo finds himself becoming the chief suspect in two cases of suspicious death--and as the evidence against him piles up, so his only way out is to solve the puzzles himself... THE INDIRECTIONS is a tense and intriguing whodunit from the author of THE PAST IS NEVER CLOSED and THERE WAS AND THERE WASN'T.
