Inside of Me comprises the entire collection of Madeleine Weintraub's poetry and reveals the thoughts and emotions evoked in her as she experienced life, observed world events and appreciated God's creation. The subject and style of her poems changes distinctly from her younger years as a Beautiful Dreamer to her Bittersweet years with her true love, Jerry. While raising her family, Madeleine wrote almost no poetry, until finally, in her Lonely Years, she writes again, turning almost exclusively to prose to pour out her heart. Her deep faith in God and passionate patriotism is expressed throughout her poetry, and her love of nature and fascination with the American West are evident even in her earliest writings.
