No discussion of prayer is complete without addressing some of the malfunctions we face in prayer. This book is not meant to be comprehensive. Instead, it is meant to cover the basics for a life of prayer. The theme throughout is that we learn to pray as we look to Jesus to teach us. Following these truths is how we rise above mediocrity in prayer and experience what Jesus intended when he said, "Pray, then, in this way."
