Disco Mao is the romantic journey of Pete, a foreigner lost in an ordinary Chinese city. It's a series of short fragmented chapters dealing with culture shock, love and corruption. It's part travel blog/novel, part Chinese vignettes, and with a little romance. It is not a conventional 'novel' at all- it's part fiction, part biographical but also littered with small fragments of information about China.
