Felipe Montoya is a simple fisherman living on the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in the new colonies of Spain in the year 1612. They give birth to a son, now the male heir to the throne that the King so desperately wants. Learning of this, the King's assassin kidnaps the boy and returns him to Spain which leads to a daring rescue by an unlikely group of friends.
