Wiring Justice: From the Archives of Joseph J. Balliro, Sr.

"There could be no doubt Tommy was terminal." So begins the story of the gruesome murder of Tommy Francone, a Mafia soldier, found dead tied to an East Boston pier and the murder trial of Tony Domainio, Boston's Mafia boss. Joseph J. Balliro has been a criminal defense attoreny for over 5 decades. Known as the "Dean of the Defense Bar", attorney Balliro has tried over 500 murders and over 3000 criminal cases in his career. "Wiring Justice" gives the reader an inside look at the gritty underbelly of true-to-life organized crime in Boston, police, lawyers, and jurors and the manipulation exercised as each attempts to "wire" justice to their benefit. The reader is gripped by a story that includes young Joe Balliro and his association with Tony Domainio, the different paths they took culminating with Tony on trial for murder and Joe Balliro, his friend, defending him against the excesses of the prosecution, organized crime, and even a juror hell bent to extremes on seeing Tony convicted. There can be no more exciting a story for the reader who enjoys a behind-the-scenes exciting read, action, drama, and accurate historical reference.
