The Circle Inside: Finding Your Way From Within And Knowing Your Path Is Truly Your Own

Individual spirituality, the search for the indescribable, The One, The Many, has long mystified our species since the beginning of time. History has well documented the often bloody search for spiritual salvation. We would like to think we have evolved from those days but in fact, most people still feel threatened thinking that someone else is right and they are wrong or vice versa. The fact of the matter is, we may never know the answer to the age-old question "What is the meaning of life?" If you look closely at your belief system, whether it is one of "The Big Three" (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) or some remote ancient philosophy, we are all unique in our spiritual travels. Of course there are people who are just looking to have someone hold their hand and walk them into the Promised Land. Others may feel that since the majority believes a certain way that it must be right. Why buck the system? While this is a reasonable thought process for some, it is not for everyone. Some of us like to play a more direct part in our spirituality. We are not looking for the "sales associate" and would rather converse directly with the "owner". Furthermore, even in a group of like-minded people, there will be many differences beneath the surface. One of the things that stand out especially in Neo-Paganism is the responsibility you have with regard for yourself. You are in control of your actions and consequently you are responsible for them. You must weigh your choices as to right or wrong and benefit or pay accordingly. In the following pages, I will try to explain to the best of my ability about the general concepts of Neo-Paganism and Wicca, as well as offer insight into my own belief system compared to the generally accepted viewpoints on this subject. I would also like to state clearly from the start that mine is not the last word on any of the topics that will be discussed. I encourage you to go out and find as much information that you can so that you can make up your own mind regarding things that are important and significant to you.
