In the end, was this previous apathetic dedication to academic achievement on the part of the protagonist a reflection of a grocery list of failed personal accomplishments later in life, or the result of a simple twist of fate? Would the author change the course of history if given the opportunity to do so? Was it worth the ride, and would he do it all over again? Damn Straight!
