Twice in a Blue Moon : 9781456589325

Fiction Nathan Exeter is Wall Street's scariest wheeler dealer. As New York City's most celebrated bachelor, his bedroom is reputed to have played host to more sleeping beauties than Disneyland. Widely known for being abrasive, aloof and arrogant, 'no' is the one word he never hears-whether in the boardroom or the bedroom. Old fashioned, educated and beautiful, Eden Johanson rejects romantic approaches, and concentrates on climbing the corporate ladder in a highly competitive environment. Her cool professionalism and reserved nature earn her an unflattering label as the Ice Princess. He is smitten by her, but in spite of everyone's encouragement, is resolute in avoiding an ongoing involvement. She is smitten by him, but in spite of everyone's advice to the contrary, is tempted to gamble on romance. Clearly, something must give. Set against the backdrop of political intrigue and the maddening business environment of the early nineties, the story is presented in fast moving alternating chapters of first person accounts, allowing an insider's view of their individual feelings and motivations, and understand their struggles with each other, even when they don't. A page turner from beginning to end.
