Clare has never fit in anywhere. She was never close to her family, and she doesn't make friends easily. Even so, she gets the opportunity of a lifetime when she's hired three months out of college to work for the prestigious Burnheart's Travel Agency. The job is a perfect fit, even if her coworkers drive her nuts.

She finds solace in her friend Carmen, who always knows how to make her laugh when life gets tough--but life is about go get a lot tougher. One of her coworkers, Kevin, seems to be stealing Clare's clients. Even stranger, Clare begins finding suspicious notecards around the travel agency office, bearing words like "murder" and "drown."
