Jeb Bruckner, a deranged, former short-term mental patient of Nikki Carr RN, is out for revenge. She was the only person he had ever trusted, confiding in her all the intimate, horrific details about his abusive mother. He is sent to Blackstone Psychiatric Asylum and feels Nikki is responsible by betraying his trust. He vows to torment, torture and kill her and doesn't care who he has to brutally murder to wreak vengeance. Along the way, he discovers that savage murders excite him and give him pleasure. Detective Quin Mathews is on the case and forms a romantic attachment to Nikki, while guarding her in her home. Together they try to thwart the attempts of a psycho serial killer.
