Can You Catch The Essence Of Man In Writing? Shakespeare accomplished this task during his lifetime and I plan to do the same. My purpose in life is to try to catch the very essence of what it is like to be human. As human beings, we experience various emotions in life: anger, pain, longing, sadness, etc. My mission is to reveal to the world the beauty that comes with such emotions and the strength it takes to survive them. I have compiled a collection of short-stories and poems that explore the characteristics of being human, whether through personal or imagined experience. The stories and poems are humorous, empowering, deceitful, tragic, hopeful, inspiring, truthful, romantic, adventurous, informative, and any other adjectives deemed appropriate. Written from a teenager's prospective in a quirky, new voice, everyone will find something worth value or can relate to. You just have to start reading to come up with your own opinion on what makes us truly human and what makes us extraordinary creatures.
