Inspiration for this new American art form began while I was living in Norway in 1979. I began creating Symbolic Art Patterns (SartP) after designing the trademarked Lewis and Guggenheim Collection of black iconography in 1991 with the late Mary Guggenheim in Paris, France. It was then that I gave birth to the first Symbolic Art Pattern.
