Dan Brandon is the special investigator who only takes cases that involve a Techno-Crime. An early morning call from CEO Harold Remkin at Gladstone Electronics informed Brandon that young nanotechnology genius, Bob Clauson, did not clock in this morning and the prototype, laptop super-computer that he had developed was also missing. Remkin assigned the attractive Blonde, Marsha Brooks, who was an MBA, to help Brandon get started on the case. He didn't think his friend Claire would approve, since she would be in Austin while he would be working in the Crystalville area. He also was sure it was going to be the kind of serious case he would not be able to quit.
