A very creative book that combines both spirituality and poetry with a wonderful selection of Florida Orchid photography. While the orchids soothe the mind and eye, the poetry, thoughts and lyrics stir up the mind and heart of the reader. Written by a German immigrant to the United States, the poetry deals with life experiences both in Germany and the new country of her choice. The mature author expresses feelings about events and emotional experiences she faced along the way for many years of her life. Some of the events described in the book however are not her own, but were told to her by others. She transcribed them into poetry and thoughts/lyrics uniquely told in her very own and often provoking style, yet always being truthful to her own beliefs. The book deals with women's issues world wide and also bridges two continents. It allows the reader a glimpse into the world of a German female immigrant, while enjoying the incredible beauty of tropical orchids along with the author's words.
