Kieth and two of his brothers think they are scientists among other things. For christmas they dream of getting a 100 power telescope to put in the observatory in their bedroom closet. Their family is way too poor to afford a gift like that or any others, they are barely getting by. Christmas Eve he encounters something very strange out of the closet window. He embarks on an adventure that takes him far from home. Flying through outer space on the Christmas ship Opportunity, he sees many strange and wonderful things as he visits Mercury, Europa, Titan and Neptune. Along the way he discovers an unexplainable connection to many of the things in his life back home. Does he go into the future? Is he in the present? Is it just a dream? Or is it reality?
