Five holes dotted the back of a white raw-silk chair. An arm lying to the chair's side dribbled a rivulet of blood onto the cream colored carpeting. The entryway's doorknob turned sending a scrapping sound disturbing the condominium's sanctity as Sandra entered the hallway. The killer dipped around the corner into the living room looking into the mirror at the reflection of the target, Sandra Hemingson. Mark Hemingson is window shopping on Unter en Linden in Berlin during a lull in his erratic schedule that had him crisscrossing Europe. He spies the leather jacket that his wife, Sandra, had been searching for. Hitting the auto-dial on his cell phone as he turned, the phone flew from his hand as the woman window shopping next to him dropped to the ground leaving a red splatter on the column beside him. Mark looked in wonderment at the crowd of walking shoppers; someone has attempted to kill him. Sandra, a political website owner centrally based in Washington, D.C., and Mark, her attache husband currently working in Europe, are forced to run from killers not knowing why they have been targeted and by whom.
