It was the heady days of the late 1970's and marijuana smuggling from Colombia to South Florida was at its pinnacle. The War on Drugs was in its infancy and Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale was the prime entry point for the smugglers. During one 12-month period in 1979-80, Pegleg and his Navy imported over 1.2 million pounds of pot into South Florida, the largest amount ever by any group in a 12-month period. This is the story of one man's journey from West Point Military Academy to the Coca-Cola Company, to the Miami Dolphins Ticket Office to an Admiral in the Navy of Pegleg.
