Stoney had no more then reached the street when a beefy hand grabbed him by the shoulder and spun him roughly about. "This is just a reminder for you to keep your distance from Alissa," Stark snarled as he landed a balled fist into Stoney's jaw, sending him stumbling backwards along the boardwalk. He landed hard against the side of the building, losing his balance and sliding down its wooden surface. Regaining his footing slowly, Stoney looked straight into the blazing black eyes of his assailant. Rubbing his jaw carefully with a gloved hand, he spoke. "I surely wish you hadn't done that, mister. Gives a body a downright ornery feeling that you don't much like him." A surly grin creased the corners of his mouth as he wiped away the blood that dripped from one corner. Stark stood boldly facing the smaller-built man, legs spread apart, both hands coiled into hard fists, ready to inflict more damage to the cowboy. Jealousy showed full-blown in the man's demeanor. "You get the picture, or do you want more convincing?" Stark barked. Stoney's steps were slow but sure as he walked toward Stark. "I reckon you draw a picture with a pretty dull pencil," he remarked, still rubbing his cheek. Stark bristled and stiffened his stance. "You think you can do better, cowboy?" Joint the ride with Stoney Benson and his mentor Limpy Greyhawk as they team up to solve the mystery both of them are on separate missions, seeking justice for. Bull$#!+ Montana is not exactly a whodunnit story, but the plain fact is that somebody had to. The question is who, and who is the surprise. A nest of characters located in the bowels of the Bitterroot Mountains brings two men to Bull, a small blemish on an otherwise beautiful area of Montana. One is a U.S. Marshall, hunting for over ten years the culprit that killed his best friend and left him with a gimpy leg to deal with the rest of his life. The other is on the trail of two horse thieves while keeping an eye out for the perfect ranch to settle down, in hopes of a perfect life with a wife and family one day. The ranch is his second priority after catching the Fargo brothers-or so he thought. Surprisingly, a petite curly-haired waitress may just have a say about that.
