Guardians of the Sacred Seven is volume two of The Seldith Chronicles series that begins with The Owl Wrangler and precedes Quest for The Truth. It's a story about Hisbil, a teenager forest elf no taller than a mushroom whose father is the Seldith clan's only Owl Wrangler. Hisbil, his sister Anasta and a mysterious friend Weiger have just foiled a maniacal plot by the evil human Lord Lensmacher to steal the clan's magic, but return to be accused of crimes against The Truth. After Hisbil and his friends are exonerated by the Seldith Council of Truth, the elven clan is thrown into turmoil as a desperate struggle for power begins. Driven by hatred and greed, it becomes clear that the ousted council members will do anything to prevent the account of their misdeeds to be recorded forever in The Book of Truth-including silencing the entire village.
