An Educational Coach's Guide For Improving Student Performance. I have been working with students and families for fifty-two years. I have had the good fortune to work with small groups of students, which has allowed me to get to know and interact with the parents of my students. I have taught elementary and high school students in a variety of settings: public schools, juvenile hall and group homes. Parents and teachers working together can produce amazing, positive changes. Parents I have worked with encouraged me to write this guide, in order to help other struggling parents gain confidence and control of their student's education. There is nothing magical about the program I use. It is very simple, but it is not easy. You will learn new ways of changing your student's behavior and attitude. It is easy to say you want to change, and that you want your child to change, but it is not easy to stick with the things you have to do, in order to bring about the changes you want.
