My Shorts is a collection of short stories and poems that I have accumulated over the past few years. The short stories have different styles and genres, from current subjects to western to science fiction and even a couple that are autobiographical. The poetry is often reflected in the short stories or based on personal experience. "Borrowed Dreams" was born out of "The Sharecropper," a poem about my paternal grandfather. "Ode to a Black Pig" is an interpretation of my time serving on submarines.
