Church Nation is the dramatic story of Emily, a young woman who unwittingly becomes entangled in a secret religious plot to take over the United States and ultimately the world. There is plenty of tension in Emily's situation: she has a secure job, supportive church community, and loving fiance, but she suspects that she's being betrayed. She wants to trust her fiance, but mounting evidence makes her wonder whether he's involved in something sinister. There are dedicated, faithful members of the Church who will stop at nothing, including collusion, theft, and even murder, to see that their candidate is elected President of the United States and ultimately achieve the Grand Goal. These members of the Church hold and wield huge power, have moles and spies virtually everywhere, command respect and loyalty, have access to immense amounts of information, can manipulate Corporate America, influence and control major economic decisions and corporate policies and fully believe that they alone have God on their side. There is the executive committee who is in charge of and responsible for executing the Grand Goal and conducting the Great Experiment and the secret society that acts on the behalf of the executive committee. In addition, there are other organizations including the CBI that supports the wishes, desires and activities of the executive committee including providing intelligence gathering and enforcement and cleanup. These faithful Church members are professional, extremely organized and focused and highly disciplined. These Church members view themselves and the Church as the best and only choice to lead the Nation. There is the Air Force Base, the NSA data center and other federal facilities that are instrumental and integral to achieving the Grand Goal. Danger and intrigue lurk behind hidden corridors and tunnels, in the streets, and even at home. There are plenty of surprises in the quest to see whether Emily can successfully bring this plot to light, expose the church plot, and protect herself and those she cares about.
