A daring adventurer, a hidden world, and creatures beyond imagination. On the strange planet Venus, every step brings new dangers. Will he survive this exotic realm and fulfill his mission?

In The Port of Peril, Otis Adelbert Kline takes readers on a thrilling journey to Venus, where adventurer Robert Grandon encounters bizarre lifeforms, treacherous terrain, and unexpected allies. As Grandon navigates this alien landscape, Kline blends adventure and science fiction, drawing readers into a world of thrilling encounters and exotic dangers. A classic in planetary adventure, this novel captures the spirit of exploration and heroism against a richly imagined backdrop.

Otis Adelbert Kline (1891-1946) was an American adventure novelist and literary agent during the pulp era. Much of his work first appeared in the magazine Weird Tales. Kline is best known for an apocryphal literary feud with fellow author Edgar Rice Burroughs, in which he supposedly raised the latter's ire by producing close imitations of Burroughs's Martian novels, though set on Venus -Planet of Peril, followed by Prince of Peril, and concluding with The Port of Peril.
