There was a time when I wrote poetry about lost love and broken hearts. Today, at almost nine years clean and sober, I have a new reason to write my poetry about. It is about recovery and it's spiritually inspired which makes it real and, in some cases, emotionally hard to read. I hope that those who read my poetry will see that there is a solution and a better way to live. Asking for help and then taking the first step is all it takes to see what all the rave is about. God blessed me with this gift, as He has done with so many other talents, and I've wasted them over the years. Now I have found a way to put them to use the way I know He would have wanted me to.
