This book is Part I of the series and provides the basics of PROFIBUS technology and focuses on how to install PROFIBUS devices and cables. It contains guidelines and good practice in wiring and testing PROFIBUS systems that are shared by many competence centres of PROFIBUS International. It is also a textbook written for the internationally accredited "Certified PROFIBUS Installer Course" which I have been teaching for many years.Fieldbus, and particularly PROFIBUS, provides reliable and cost-effective technology for a wide range of instrumentation and control equipment used in manufacturing, storage, building and process industries.
